# THE PROBLEM

The client reviewed v2 and wants changes. But they also want to keep v1 and v2 intact in case they need to go back. In Premiere, this means duplicating your sequence, renaming it, making the changes, and hoping you don't accidentally edit the wrong version. Multiply this across five rounds of revisions and your project panel is a graveyard of sequences named "Final\_v3\_REVISED\_clientNotes\_FINAL2."

Version management in Premiere is entirely manual. There's no built-in way to branch an edit, no diff between versions, no protection against overwriting a previous cut. Every editor has lost work by editing the wrong sequence or saving over a version they needed to preserve.

You shouldn't have to choose between keeping clean version history and moving fast on revisions. Those should be the same workflow.

## WITHOUT WIDEFRAME

Manual sequence duplication, error-prone naming, risk of overwriting

## WITH WIDEFRAME

Clean versioned sequences, previous versions preserved

## 70% TIME SAVED

## HOW YOU SOLVE IT WITH WIDEFRAME

01

**Create your initial cut in Wideframe**
Assemble your first version as usual. Wideframe tracks the edit as a distinct version with its own state, including clips, timing, structure, and everything else.

02

**Branch a new version for revisions**
When revision notes come in, create a new version from the current one. The previous version is locked and preserved. You work on the new version without risk of overwriting anything.

03

**Export all versions as named sequences**
Export to a .prproj file with each version as a clearly named sequence: v1, v2, v3, each one intact and independent. Shared media lives in common bins with no duplication.

04

**Navigate version history in Premiere**
Open the project and every version is there as its own sequence. Jump between them to compare. The client wants to go back to the v1 ending with the v3 middle section? Both sequences are right there.
